George Ulrich

An artist from an early age, Ulrich drew on whatever material was readily available.  His father warned him to concentrate on the important subjects like mathematics because people couldn't make a living as an illustrator.  Undaunted, Ulrich graduated with a degree in illustration from Syracuse University and has illustrated over 100 books.  An author as well, Ulrich penned silly poetry which Doubleday published.  He continues to live in Massachusetts, gaining inspiration from his wife, a painter, and their two cats.
