A native of Oklahoma, Veith was born in 1951. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma and later receiving his Ph.D. in English from the University of Kansas, Veith taught at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. A visiting professor at Wheaton College and a Visiting Lecturer in Estonia, Veith also served as a professor and Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Concordia University, Wisconsin. Continuing in the line of education, Veith currently is Provost and a professor of literature at Patrick Henry College. He is also the director of the Cranach Institute at Concordia Theological Seminary. An author of over 18 books about culture and Christianity, such as
Postmodern Times and
God at Work, Veith is also a columnist for
TableTalk and
WORLD MAGAZINE and worked formerly as
WORLD MAGAZINE's culture editor.
