If you don't want to have your children take the standardized tests during the years they don't have to, but you still want to measure their skills in an objective way, this is a good tool. The Essential Learning Objectives Quick Assessment series allows you, the parent, to test the abilities of your student(s) in the comfort of your own home. During the years your student is required to be tested, we suggest using instead Achieving Peak Performance, which is more similar to an actual standardized test.
Each ELO Quick Assessment product generally comes in a packet of two booklets. One booklet is the parent's guidebook, which includes a list of all the essential learning objectives for a particular grade level, instructions, and the answer key. The second booklet is the student test booklet. While you can purchase the test separately, we definitely recommend the set unless the test is for an additional student.
