Edith Kunhardt

Born on September 30, 1937,Kunhardt later graduated from Bryn Mawr College. She then worked as an editor for Golden Books from 1974 to 1986 before she decided to jump into the world of freelance writing and illustrating. Once Kunhardt got an idea, she traveled and researched, thereby experiencing life's dramatic happenings to better relate them in her stories. Under her own name and using different pseudonyms, Kunhardt has penned over fifty books, including Pompeii and All Kinds of Trucks. She continues to live and write from New York.
