Douglas Bond

Douglas Bond

Mr. Douglas Bond (b. 29 October 1958) received a B.A. in history from Washington Baptist College and holds a master's degree in education from St. Martin's College. He is the author of more than 25 books, including several children's books including the Mr. Pipes collection, The Crown & Covenant and Faith & Freedom trilogies, and the Heroes & History series, along with novels and biographies on John Calvin, John Knox, and others.

While Doug primarily writes historical fiction (much of it aimed at boys), his two books on raising sons are excellent. Stand Fast in the Way of Truth is one of our favorite books for fathers and sons to work through together (its sequel Hold Fast is pretty good, too).

Mr. Bond's photos have been featured in Sunset Magazine and a number of Northwest business publications. He has retired from teaching English and history at Covenant High School in Tacoma, WA. He has plenty of irons in the fire, though, now focusing on writing, editing, teaching workshops (including master classes at Oxford), and, with his wife Cheryl, guiding folks on Church history tours to connect this generation with the people of God who contended for the gospel in the past.
