Fourth graders are curious about the places and people around them, and you can give them the ability to read about the world with Road Trip East, a compilation of exciting stories, informative selections, and enjoyable poems. Your students will explore four unique regions, visit historic landmarks, and meet famous people east of the Mississippi with the Jackson family on their road trip. This reader highlights literary concepts including the compare and contrast text structure as well as rhyme scheme, repetition, and meter in relation to poetry. In addition to reading intriguing selections, this student resource will reinforce literary knowledge and encourage critical thinking with included write-in activities and comprehension questions.
