Decimals

The decimal numeral system has ten as its base. It is the most widely used numeral system, perhaps because a human usually has four fingers and a thumb on each hand, giving a total of ten digits over both hands. A student will need to learn about decimal notation, how to convert decimals to fractions and vice-versa, and how to work with percentages.
