Cindy Neuschwander

The author of the Sir Cumference math adventure series, Neuschwander was born in San Diego, California. She earned a B.A. in International Studies and a Master's Degree in Education at Stanford University. Having been a teacher since 1976, she has spent time in both elementary and high school settings. A world-wide traveler, she taught children in Germany and England, and with her family she has traveled to five continents, not including Australia and Antarctica. Presently she teaches third grade in California and is a mathematics educational specialist. She continues penning books, and through her writing, Neuschwander draws children to math and its concepts, making them appealing by combining both literature and mathematics.
