Pak formerly worked as a graphic designer/illustrator. When she began homeschooling her children, she decided that history timelines were an integral part in their learning. She then decided there was a need for illustrated figures to accompany the timelines she'd designed. Pak used both her illustrating experience and her insights from teaching history to her own children to create History Through the Ages which helps homeschool parents and teachers see images of the people they are studying. As a family, the Paks run the Home School in the Woods business and try to keep up with the demands for more additions, such as CD-ROMs and notebooks for the figures.
