Alden Hatch

Alden Hatch is best known for his historical works, which include many biographies. Hatch was born at the turn of the twentieth century on September 26, 1898. He was born and raised in New York, and was tutored at home due to a crippling disease. Hatch's first works were fictional before he started researching and writing about history. He was first married to Ruth Brown in 1932, but later married Allene Gaty, to whom he was married until his death in 1975. Among Alden Hatch's works are General George Patton: Old Blood & Guts, Crown of Glory: The Life of Pope Pius XII, and The De Gaulle Nobody Knows.
