Adam Andrews

Adam Andrews

Adam Andrews is the director of the Center for Literary Education and a home schooling father of six. Since 2003, he has traveled throughout the United States and Canada presenting an innovative and accessible method for teaching the crucial skills of literary analysis and interpretation.  Adam’s enthusiastic style and dynamic seminar presentations have enabled many students to understand and enjoy great literature as never before, while his practical experience and fresh insights have inspired parents and teachers with new vision for their task as educators.

Adam and his wife Missy are convinced that influence and leadership opportunities in the next generation will eventually go to those students who know how to handle ideas, for ideas really do shape the world. A true education must therefore be a literary education, for the literature of the world is the great storehouse of the ideas of history’s most thoughtful men. The Center for Literary Education is dedicated to providing parents and teachers with the tools for this kind of education and encouraging them in the most noble of callings:  the training of a generation of leaders.

Adam received his B.A. from Hillsdale College in southern Michigan and his M.A. from the University of Washington in Seattle, where he is currently a candidate for the Ph.D.  He is writing his doctoral dissertation on the history of American higher education. Adam is a Henry Salvatori Fellow of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute and has served on the Board of Directors at Westover Academy in Colville Washington. He and his wife Missy, a Hillsdale graduate and accomplished educator in her own right, currently teach all six of their children at home in Rice, Washington.
