Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. Young time-travelling Poddley Parsifal is sent on his first assignment: to befriend young Christopher Townsend, a lonely eight-year-old boy living in Vermont in the late 1950s. While helping him learn responsibility, Parsifal comes up with the idea of taking Christopher on an adventure 300 years in the past, to a point when early colonists are in conflict with the local natives.
