Welcome to Exodus Books, a website owned and operated by Exodus Bookstores, LLC (“Exodus Books”).

The following provides you with the Store Policies for Exodus Books. Please refer to Exodus Books’ Terms and Conditions at exodusbooks.com/terms-and-conditions for more details on terms of use of this website as well as Exodus Books’ Security and Privacy policies.

PRICING

A.  The prices listed on the Exodus Books website are the maximum price you will pay on all in-stock items. However, Exodus Books reserves the right to adjust prices as products are restocked; this means back-ordered items may be more expensive than the original quote.

Exodus Books is not a general discount company and does not have a price-match guarantee, however the store wants to be reasonable and is willing to occasionally adjust prices.

B.  While rare, the purchase price for products and services offered for sale through the use of this website may increase or decrease between the time an item is placed in your shopping cart and the time the purchase of such item is actually made by completion of the checkout process. You will be responsible for the payment of the purchase price in effect at the time the purchase of an item is actually made by completion of the checkout process.

C.  The purchase price for products and services offered for sale through the use of this website may be incorrectly stated on the website. In the event the purchase price for an item is incorrectly stated, Exodus Books may, in its sole discretion, (i) contact you for instructions before shipping the item and charging you for such item; (ii) cancel the order and notify you of the cancellation; or (iii) ship the item to you at the lower of the incorrectly stated price or the actual purchase price.

Note: If a price is shown in red, the item has already been discounted, and cannot be discounted further. Also, there are a number of companies that request that their materials not be discounted. These include (with some exceptions): Singapore Math, A Reason For, RightStart Math, DIVE, Veritas Press, Institute for Excellence in Writing, WriteShop, TruthQuest History, Doorposts, Greek N' Stuff, Critical Thinking Press, Circe Institute, Classical Conversations, Notgrass History, All About Learning, Audio Memory, Berean Builders, Essentials in Writing, Logic of English, and others.

RETURN POLICY

A.  At Exodus Books we always strive to offer the highest quality products and we inspect and pack all of our orders with care. We are confident you'll be extremely satisfied with your purchases, however there are times when items are damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped. Should you experience this, we'll gladly replace them. If the package is damaged we need pictures of the damaged box and contents. If insured and the issue is a mishandled box, we will file a claim with the post office. If the problem is deemed to be improper or inadequate packaging, we will refund or replace at our expense.

B.  If we accidentally send you something you did not order, or we neglect to send something you did order, please let us know immediately by contacting us at hello@exodusbooks.com or calling us at 503.655.1951. Exodus Books is committed to standing behind our service, and will credit your store account for postage to send those unwanted items back, or we will send the missing items at our cost. Exodus Books reserves the right to choose which shipping method is used.

C.  New and unopened merchandise may be returned within 30 days of receipt for an exchange or refund of the merchandise cost only (at this time we are unable to reimburse shipping costs). Returned items must be in unused, unmarked, and in sellable condition. Returns after 30 days, if accepted (at our sole discretion), WILL be subjected to restocking fees: 10% up to 60 days, 20% up to 90 days. Returns will NOT be accepted after 90 days.

D. Items sold as a prepackaged bundle must be returned with all components in unused, unmarked, and in sellable condition.

E.  DVDs, CDs, computer software, or other media may be returned for refunds only if unopened. If opened, they may be returned only for replacement of the same item.

F.  Exodus Books sells used books. We understand you may not discover a book's flaw for a little while, but please contact use at hello@exodusbooks.com about defective items within 90 days of the purchase. We will do our best to accommodate requests to issue the appropriate credits or replacements at our expense.

G. Exodus Books will replace or refund insured packages that have been lost, but the liability for uninsured packages rests with you. All packages include a tracking number; our liability for loss ends when the post office states that the package has been delivered.

When returning items:

  • To return any item, please email us at hello@exodusbooks.com with your order number and notes on the items you wish to return, and we will reply promptly with further instructions.
  • Exodus Books recommends insuring your return, and is not liable for returns that are not delivered to us or that are delivered in a damaged condition.
  • Please allow 1 to 3 weeks for the return to be received and processed.

An email confirmation will be sent once we receive your return or exchange.

SPECIAL ORDERS

Exodus Books can special order thousands of items that are not held in stock. We ask that you be sure of your request, as we do not permit returns on special-ordered items.

HOLDS POLICY

We do not hold items.

PRODUCT SAMPLES

We often get requests for review copies. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer them. The only free samples we can provide are those in digital format found throughout our site. If you need an actual copy for a more comprehensive review, please keep in mind our return policy. You can always order an item, review it, and return it within 30 days – it will only cost you the shipping. Books used in such a way must be returned unused, unmarked, and in sellable condition.

SHIPPING

At Exodus Books we work diligently to ship your order as soon as we can, and if the items are in stock we are generally able to pack and ship your order on the same or next business day after your order is placed.

If you place your order after 3pm it will usually go in the queue for the next shipping day. Our order system will generally let you know if something is out of stock, and give you the option to backorder. If we expect a backordered item to be out of stock for more than 2-3 weeks, we will let you know by e-mail or phone and give you the option to cancel.

The reason our standard shipping costs are so reasonable is our method of shipping, which is usually USPS media or bound printed matter. Although heavy, the U.S. postal service offers special prices for books. For economy, this is wonderful. But there is a drawback to this method. It can take more time: West coast customers will usually receive their order within a week, but East coast customers will generally have to wait about two weeks, and the packages have been known to take even longer. If you need the items faster, please request a speedier shipping method.

Shipping and handling charges:

  • Our standard charge in the U.S. is $4.95 for any size, sent USPS media mail or "best way."
  • For faster service, you can choose USPS Priority, USPS Express or UPS, but the cost of shipping will increase.
  • For international orders, the shipping is calculated by the order form. Unless the shipping is more than $5 different, we will charge that amount. If you prefer an option not listed, please request one in the comment field, and we will try to accommodate you.

TAXES

None! The State of Oregon has no sales tax.
