The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. Myrtle Albertina decides to give her mother a photograph of herself for a birthday present. On the way home from the Red Dog gold mine, she meets a traveling photographer, and has her picture taken. But before the man could develop it, he's arrested for stealing gold from the mine. To get her mother's present, it's up to Myrtle to clear the photographer by finding the real thief.
