Lillian Pohlmann's study window looks out at the San Francisco Bay. She and her husband share their hillside home with deer, raccoons and many birds. Mrs. Pohlmann studied at the University of California, University of Mexico and Free University of Amsterdam in Holland. She worked as a school librarian before devoting full time to writing stories for children.
