This level is meant as the last of the books before high school level work, and the pace definitely shifts into a more challenging level. Like the rest of the books in the series, it includes dictation, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and brief writing activities, plus four book studies with four more significant writing assignments: a narrative, a persuasive essay, a compare & contrast essay, and a research paper. A Christian viewpoint is quite evident throughout the book, both in the novels chosen and in the treatment they receive.
Literature used in this book (in order):
-
Across Five Aprils
-
Lantern in Her Hand
-
Eric Liddell
-
God's Smuggler
