A New Chapter

Moving again!

Monday, April 19, 2010

After we got married we lived in our apartment for two and a half years. Then Joshua was walking, Lucy was on the way, and we had neighbors who smoked and used foul language right below our back porch. When Eli's parents' rental was vacated, we jumped at the opportunity to be in a house, have a yard, and not be breathing our neighbors cigarette smoke. It's been just over two and a half years now and we have the chance to rent from my parents.

On May 1st we will be moving into my parents' basement apartment. It's about 900 square feet, has its own kitchen and outdoor entrance, and is prime backyard-front property. We've given the kids a chance to live in the house Eli played in as a kid, now they get to experience the home I grew up in. We'll be able to save a chunk of change every month with the goal of buying a house when the lease is up at Exodus in about three and a half years.

I love changes so I'm excited to begin this new chapter in our lives. Both my family and us are looking forward to being so close and we're planning on sharing lots of music, walks, tea, and projects. I think it will be a grand adventure!
