Dr. Seuss's book is more than well-known. It seems that everyone is quite familiar with the antics of the irrepressible cat with his tall striped hat and crazy tie as well as his two helpers, Thing One and Thing Two. But here's a twist: try reading it in Latin! Instead of:
The sun did not shine.
It was too wet to play.
So we sat in the house
All that cold, cold, wet day.
You'll find:
Imber totum diem fluit
Urceatim semper pluit.
Taedet intus nos manere:
Numquam potest sol splendere,...
