Core H completes the two-year world history course that started with Core G. like Core G, Core H provides the means and opportunities to teach kids to think critically while learning about the events in history. This program provides an in-depth look modern history, from the Renaissance to World War II.
Like the pervious Core, the foundation for Core H consists of The Story of the World, Usborne Encyclopedia of World History, and Genevieve Foster’s Augustus Caesar's World and The World of Columbus and Sons. These four books provide an information packed, comprehensive look at modern history and culture. Complimenting this foundation is a collection of novels, biographies, and other exciting books that provide enhancement for your modern history education. Not only will you enjoy reading about historical events from books likeEscape from Warsaw and Only the Names Remain, but you’ll also read classic literature like Great Expectations. Books like But Don’t All Religions Lead to God? and Live Like a Jesus Freak help kids establish a godly worldview and teach them to rightly evaluate the history they are learning about. In addition to a Bible program, Core H includes a language arts program to help your child’s writing skills develop.
