Immensely readable and written in a style that brings the events and people of those troubled years sharply into focus, this military history of the Second World War is both an absorbing read and a worthy addition to the library of every student of the war years.
There is a CD-Rom included that has images, but there is a program to load to view them that is 25 years old and not guaranteed to work on a modern computer.
