The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

Tribes all over the world had their own kinds of witches, to help make people well or do them harm.  Many of the superstitions are still with us today.  Probably one of the most famous witch trials was that of Joan of Arc, who "heard voices" and led France to victory only to be burned at the stake.  Another, which was amusing, was the "Sorcerer's Apprentice," still heard in musical form.  Hansel and Gretel had a famous witch in a house made of gingerbread.  A great disgrace of our own country were the Salem witch trials in New England when twenty people were put to death without cause.  Today, the conjurer says "Abracadabra!" and a rabbit jumps out of his hat.  This kind of magic is fun, but don't ask the magician to make you any gold bricks!
