Using the same approach found in the previous Vocabulary Cartoons books, Vocabulary Cartoons II: SAT Word Power prepares students for college entrance exams with zany cartoons and goofy phrases that introduce and cement a wide range of words and meanings. According to the authors, mnemonics improve test-taking skills up to three times, so for each word they implement both visual and verbal memory aids. Students read the word with proper pronunciation and definition, look at the picture and read the caption, then read the word contextually in three sentences.
