Tico is a little bird who was born without wings. When a wishing bird gives him a pair of beautiful golden wings, his friends accuse him of trying to be different. They fly away and leave him alone. Little by little, Tico's golden wings are replaced by black ones as he gives away his golden feathers to help troubled people. Finally he gives his last feathers away and he has a pair of wings that are just like the wings of the rest of the birds. His friends now welcome him, but Tico knows that though they all look the same, each is different for his own memories and his own golden dreams.
