Not a game for the lazy-eyed, Spot it! forces players to sight similarities between cards faster than their opponents. Great for parties (2-8 players)or helping young players develop their powers of observation, all you need to play comes in a small round tin—55 round playing cards, and 5 rule cards with simple instructions for five different games.
Whether you're playing the variation that calls on players to collect the most cards, get rid of all their cards, or simply to have the fewest cards at the end of play, the basic principle is pretty constant. Each round card has a variety of colorful graphics and images on it, and players race to see who can spot the same image on two cards.
The catch is that the images aren't always identical. While the images are basically the same on whatever cards they appear, they might be smaller or bigger on one card than they are on another, making the like images harder to see. The simplicity of the games lets you explain the rules quickly and easily, and makes this an excellent choice for long car rides or excruciating waits at the dentist's office (as long as you don't make too much noise).
