In 1967, Dr. S. M. Davis dedicated his life to serve the Lord as a pastor. Two years after his decision, he wedded his wife Rae Jean, and together they have raised four grown daughters. Since his commencement as a minister, his service to God has taken diverse forms. In the church, Dr. Davis has held the position of music minister, associate pastor, and head pastor. Outside his regular pulpit, he has been a guest speaker at nationwide conventions and churches, and in addition maintains a tape ministry of his messages that have been of service in many foreign countries outside the U.S. Dr. Davis has furthermore attracted a following among many Christian home school organizations. Presently, Dr. Davis is the head pastor of Park Meadows Baptist Church in Lincoln, Illinois, and is the grandfather of eight children.
