This Solutions Manual is designed to be used as a tool with the New Elementary Mathematics 1 Textbook. The author recommends that the student not resort to the manual too soon, for much learning occurs in "wrestling with" a challenging problem, but it can serve as a helpful guide in working through difficult problems. It is also a great resource for parents/instructors working through math problems with their children.
This book provides step-by-step solutions to the textbook chapter Exercises, Revision Exercises, Miscellaneous Exercises and Assessment Papers. It does not provide answers or solutions to the Class Activities, nor to the Challenger and Problem Solving Exercises at the end of each chapter, nor to the Investigation sections which appear every 3 to 4 chapters. Those may be found in the Teacher Manual. Neither does it cover the exercises found in the workbook, which contains its own answer key.
