A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Peace became a registered nurse and worked for 13 years helping with pediatric burns, in intensive care, and with coronary care. After turning her life to Christianity, Peace quit nursing and began teaching Bible studies, earning her certificate from the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. Since then she has counseled women and children, presented workshops, taught women's classes, and authored books, such as Excellent Wife. With her husband, Peace attends Faith Bible Church, and they enjoy time with their ten grandchildren.
