Guiding an adolescent boy to manhood is a daunting task for anybody. The Man in Demand Student Training Manual speaks directly to young men and presents the values and personal habits needed to become a godly Christian adult who is also respected by his peers and elders. But boys can't be expected to figure everything out on their own—they need leadership.
This teacher's book will help you supplement the material your students learn in the training manual with extra information, more Scripture references, and object lessons to illuminate the lessons. A word to teachers helps get you started, and the rest is fairly self-explanatory. Even women can teach this course with the teacher's book, though the authors strongly encourage certain sections (primarily those dealing with sex and sexual morality) be taught by a man regardless of who teaches the rest of the lessons.
Used since its initial publication in 1975, Man in Demand is a good way to introduce boys to many issues and lifestyle choices they probably wouldn't even think about on their own....or think about too much. Some of the language is dated, and not all boys will be receptive to the object lessons, but if you're at a loss where to begin yourself, this guide is easy to use and can be modified to suit your needs with relatively little effort.
