Mathison has earned a B.A. in Christianity and political science from Houston Baptist University, studied at Dallas Theological Seminary, received a M.A. from the Reformed Theological Seminary in Florida, and worked for a Ph.D from Whitefield Theological Seminary. Currently Mathison in in charge of developing curriculum at Ligonier Ministries and is an associate editor of
Tabletalk magazine. This author has penned several books, articles, book reviews, and has served as assistant editor for
The Reformation Study Bible English Standard Version. Mathison is known for defending the standard Presbyterian doctrine and defending the Bible's authority. He lives in Florida with his wife and children.
