Maxie was a circus elephant, but he couldn't do tricks. His job was to clean up the empty popcorn boxes and keep the circus neat. The problem with that was, it was lonely outside the tent. He never got to go inside where there was music and dancing and clapping. That all changed when Maxie tried to help a little dog named Poldi peek at the circus through a hole in the tent.
