It was always an exciting day for a Pennsylvania village or town when the gaily painted caravan of Professor Blair arrived. For the Professor's caravan held the Greatest Show in All the World, a puppet show with life-size puppets. One of the puppets - Herodia - was lovelier than all the rest and so lifelike that some whispered she was a real girl. It is Herodia's thrilling and romantic story that is told here.
