This anthology follows the twentieth century as the world moved through two world wars, the rise of dictators in Europe and Russia, the start of the Cold War, and the social, political, and economic upheaval of the latter half of the century. Chapters also examine women's suffrage, the Holocaust, U.S. involvement in Vietnam, and the fall of Communism.
