Glen Cavaliero was born in 1927 and educated at Tonbridge School. He read Modern History at Magdalen College, Oxford, and English at St Catharine's College, Cambridge, obtaining his doctorate in 1972. He is a member of the Faculty of English in the University of Cambridge and an adviser to the Cambridge International Poetry Festival. In addition to three collections of poems, his publications include John Cowper Powys: Novelist (1973), The Rural Tradition in the English Novel 1900-1939 (1977), A Reading of E. M. Forster (1979) and Charles Williams: Poet of Theology (1983). His articles and reviews have appeared in a number of journals, including The Times Literary Supplement, the Powys Review, PN Review and the Journal of the Royal Society of Arts.
