Giulio Maestro

Giulio Maestro
Born in New York City, Maestro later graduated from Cooper Union with a Master's of Fine Arts degree.  Beginning first with a career in advertising, Maestro then turned to illustrating books for other authors.  Having begun in 1969, Maestro has since illustrated many more than 100 books, authored some of his own stories and riddles, and teamed up with his wife Betsy, an author.  When he isn't traveling for research, talking to children at schools or libraries, Maestro is busy working on another project.  Currently this talented, award-winning illustrator lives in New Mexico with Betsy and their family pets.
