Lucy's Second Birthday

Lucy's birthday celebrating began on the Sunday afternoon before we left for the beach. We had a big party at the Lyons's home to honor Lindsey, Grandma Judy, Lucy, Zachary, and Hannah Roach, who all have birthdays within two weeks of each other.

Lucy was blessed with a stroller and baby doll from Great-Grandma Judy, a play set of pots and pans from Grandma, and a sweet book and a basket of snacks from others.

Since we would be coming back from the beach on Lucy's birthday, I baked a cake to take with us. Licking the bowl is a must!

We stopped at John and Johanna Conser's house on the way home from the beach and shared a quieter celebration with them.

Porcelain tea set. The kids were not quite ready for something breakable, we learned. Super glue really sticks to the fingers...

We stayed so late, our gracious hosts convinced us to spend the night—since we had all of our stuff with us anyway.

I baked a second cake for another celebration with the Evans side of the family for our Monday night family dinner. Lucy appears to be thrilled!

Yet another chance to get frosting all over her face!
