On Tuesday we headed down to Newport, visited the Oregon Coast Aquarium, explored our inn,
and had a delicious dinner at the Flying Dutchman. |

Wednesday was a slower day. We went to the Tanger Outlet Mall in Lincoln City where I found a pair of shoes for a bargain and Eli bought books. Then we went to Robert's Bookstore and browsed shelves and shelves of used books. We ate a big lunch in Depot Bay and then read in our lovely room while the baby took a nap. After a light dinner at the Flying Dutchman again, we let the baby crawl around and watched a romantic comedy called The Truth about Cats and Dogs. |

Thursday began with a delicious breakfast at the Flying Dutchman. After checking out of our room, we strolled along a lovely path to see Devil's Punch Bowl and its neighboring beaches. After admiring the evil one's churning beverage, we headed to Depot Bay to go whaling - the only kind that's allowed nowadays. I loved being on the ocean and seeing the whales, but my tummy wasn't too happy about it...and Eli's positively rebelled! We visited Agate Beach to let our stomachs settle down a bit before heading home. |

We had a wonderful time seeing the coast and spending time together, but we were also happy to come home. |
