Chapter Seven: A Visit with Cousins

April 24, 2007 - April 29, 2007

Monday afternoon, after saying good bye to the nice re-enactors in the Spanish Quarter at St. Augustine, we headed East.  Our destination was Mobile, AL, but it was too far to drive in one day.  We drove as far as we could without Joshua getting too bored and then stopped for the night in a small town in the Florida panhandle.  The next morning we paid a brief visit to James Jordan (since we were in the area) and then a few more hours of driving brought us to Alabama and  the cousins that we hadn't seen in a year and a half.

Isaac Mahar and Eli have been friends just as much as cousins their whole lives and after we got married we had spent many evenings fellowshipping with him and his family.  Tuesday afternoon through Sunday was only enough time to remember why we like the Mahars so much, but it wasn't nearly sufficient.  This visit was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
