I was a huge fan of Othello when I was a lad. We have all sorts of family stories that involve the game, including one that involved a challenge (admittedly in jest) that if any man could beat my aunt, he could have her as his bride. Othello (also known as Reversi) is a fast-moving abstract strategy game that anyone can play. As the makers of Othello say, it takes "a minute to learn. . .a lifetime to master!"
Othello is meant for two players, and can be tons of fun, especially if the players are serious. . . If you would prefer a family game for more players, you might want to check out Rolit.
