My friend George is an amazing photographer and has just finished up an absolutely gorgeous Oregon City 2019 calendar if any of you are interested. Even if you don't live in Oregon City, this town is Oregon's First City and it has a some pretty fantastic sites that are significant for Oregon as a whole as well.
Willamette Falls is second only to Niagara Falls in water volume in the contiguous US; the OC elevator is the only outdoor municipal elevator in the US and one of only four in the world; and the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center explains the history of that amazing route which ended right here. Actually, Oregon City was the entire Oregon Territory's First City. Did you know that San Francisco got its city charter from here because we were the big noise at the time?
