Word Roots meets the objective of teaching your student to look at the words they use and understand their meaning by the parts that make them up. If they understand meanings of the prefixes, suffixes and even the root words then it makes it much easier to understand the words. It also makes it much easier to figure out the meaning of words that may be new to them. This program is good for an independent child or a child that need their parents help. It is designed to do 7 pages with 3 extra practice pages in the back of the book. When finished with the book it gives 2 pages of independent study to see if you learn how to use the techniques they have taught in the lessons.
