Can Delicious’s Daddy succeed in carting trees of apples, peaches, plums, grapes, cherries (and children) all the way from Iowa to Oregon? Sure, there’s danger along the way. The river, muddier than a cowboy’s toenail, will try to sweep them under. The endless sandy dessert will dry up the branches. The worst varmint of the all, Jack Frost, will try to freeze them all. But Delicious is always there to help her Daddy out of any trouble, and together they won’t let anything get in the way of bringing their trees to Oregon.
