This book, and the others in the Uncle Eric series, are excellent educational experiences for both children and adults. Just the discussion of the role of 'models' in the functioning of the human mind is worth the whole set. While this discussion is not about science, it describes perfectly the functioning of the minds of good scientists. They do not memorize facts. They create models and compare all incoming facts against their models—revising the models and checking the facts as they proceed. —Art Robinson
