Home School in the Woods is thrilled to announce a new line of educational resources, the Time Travelers History Study series. These unit studies on CD-ROM are designed to create a hands-on learning experience that drives the lessons home in a fun way.
The fourth in the series, The Early 19th Century in America contains 25 lessons that can spread across 5-10 weeks, covering: Presidents, Statehoods, the Growth of the Nation, Innovations, the War of 1812, Mountain Men, Natives, Pioneers, the Westward Movement, The Mexican-American War, and much more!
Written text is included as well as several choices of activities for each lesson.
The CD includes each lesson's text pages, project overview pages, and the masters for projects! Photos and drawings help illustrate the directions for completing over 35 activities. Five "Project Days" are built into the schedule to allow for extra time to complete outstanding projects.
Also included are teacher helps, resource lists, teacher keys, and a "guide-at-a-glance." Tastefully laid out for inclusion in a three-ring binder, this hands-on history study will give both the teacher and students a thorough, exciting glimpse into the amazing people and events during the growth of a nation!
