I have been using these workbooks and the readers which correspond with this kit for 14 years, continuously, as I homeschool my 10 children. I have tried countless other curricula only to return to the ALS time and again. Once the children are reading, they soon progress to chapter books and other books far above their reading level. While I have not incorporated all the rule-memorization and teacher's guide activities, this is a sound, tried and true choice for any homeschooler. It can be adapted easily to any age and time frame. One lesson could be used over a one week period with other types of books/workbooks incorporated if this curriculum is too fast or challenging. Excellent foundation. When it was discontinued nearly 10 years ago, I bought all the books I could find. Now I am glad to see it is reprinted. I am buying enough to teach 5 more children. Thank you for carrying my favorite grammar curriculum.
