Again, as was the case in Omnibus I, numerous experts have contributed to this monumental work. You will find all the tools you need to tackle the study of the great works, spanning from early church fathers through the Reformation. Omnibus II is, in essence, a collection of study and discussion guides (with daily lesson plans), offering commentary on the books, as well as each book's historical context and the ideas it considers, always comparing those ideas with biblical truth. Covering literature, as well as a fair amount of history and theology, students will learn to think as Christians as they interact with timeless works. They will also continue to develop their composition and logic abilities and expand their aesthetic sensibilities—all in this neatly packaged curriculum.
This book includes the Teacher's CD-ROM, which offers the entire text along with the answer key. If you have additional students or don't want the answer key (with the accompanying expense), you may order the text without the CD-ROM.
* As all four of Tolkien's books are used (and the guide doesn't reference page numbers for them), it doesn't matter which version of the books you use. Our default for Hobbit is different than the one Veritas offers in their catalog, but it matches the LOTR set they recommend. If you prefer to choose another set, here are our options:
