CLEARANCE & FREE BOOKS

In a perfect world, our supply of books would be precisely matched to the demand of our clientele. Like a 1950s sitcom, everyone would come in looking for something, find it, get a good deal, and leave smiling. There might even be some cheesy music in the background to cue the audience for a heartwarming "Aaah!" of satisfaction.

Unfortunately, the world is not perfect (and, fortunately, we aren't trapped in a '50s sitcom). While most of our customers do leave satisfied, a lot of books end up on our shelves.....and never leave. The ratio of unwanted books to desired space becomes too great, and from time to time we're forced to get rid of the offending volumes. They end up here.

They also end up discounted. Whether they're old editions, slightly damaged copies, titles we have too many copies of, or simply books we've decided to discontinue, you can be sure our clearance section is full of good deals. The more we want to get rid of a book, the lower we'll drop the price, and there have been many customers who've left in an ecstatic state, arms filled with books for which they paid a few dollars, or even a few cents.

Part of the problem is that our used book buyers aren't perfect. Sometimes a title shows up on their desk, and it looks so cool that they can't see how it won't be snatched up within seconds of appearing on the shelf. But in addition to being imperfect, our used book buyers are kinda weird, and what they find cool others may just find odd. Anyway, so much for explanations.

PLEASE NOTE: this is your last chance to buy many of the books in this section. We will NOT be buying them again. They are vamos. Also, THESE BOOKS ARE NOT RETURNABLE, AND ARE SOLD AS-IS. Please remember that you can purchase as many of these as you like and have them all shipped for one low cost of $4.95. Thank you for your cooperation, and happy scrounging. There really is some good stuff in here, and that's not just some wacky book buyer talking. Well, it is, but you know what I mean.
