  Fun Castle Book

I love this book one hundred percent. David Macaulay is my favorite author. He tells how you build things, but in a fun story. This book tells about how you build a castle! And you can learn how to build, too, by reading David Macaulay's books! He doesn't say anything bad (no cursing words, he doesn't make the characters say bad things, either). He is incredible at writing and drawing. The pictures are not usually colored in, but you can see them very well. This books is very, very clever because it makes learning about castles charming. It makes me want to build everything he teaches about!

Even someone with a casual interest in castles will enjoy this book. It has more details on what was involved in funding and building castles than I would have thought to ask. The drawing are incredibly detailed, and his comments are engaging and funny! I thoroughly enjoyed it!
