It’s 1925 in Nome, Alaska, and the town is sick with diphtheria. They need medicine quickly, but the only vehicles that can drive across the snow are the dogsleds. Can they get the medicine in time?
This is the story Balto, who was the lead dog of one of the dog sleds that helped get the medicine. Racing 52 miles in 20 days, through blizzards and across dangerous frozen rivers, Balto led his team safely to their destination and has gone down in history as a hero among dogs.
