For the true Tintin aficionado...

Tintin in the Land of the Soviets and Tintin Au Congo were the very first two Tintin books written in the early 1920's. However, because they are not up to the same quality standard as the rest of the series (Soviets was never redone like some of the others and is still in black & white) or are politically incorrect (i.e., Herge's racist portrayal of Africans and Tintin's hunting of elephants for their ivory), they have not been considered part of the Tintin "canon," and are rarely available. Tintin in the Congo has never been published both in color and in English in the United States (the version we carry is in French) although it is now available in Canada and the UK.

Tintin and Alph-Art was the very last book Herge was writing before he died in 1982. It is basically an incomplete sketchbook of the last Tintin adventure. These three are not included in this bundle but are available separately.

Hey Guys,

I have collected these books from amazon which is lettered in the new font size and will be returning them shortly. I am looking to collect these books in the old Hyslop font to keep it in my library as I liked the former one better. Just wanted to know what font type comes with these books.

Thanks!

Wonderful Collection and Company

This collection brought back so many memories. Basically if you have grown up between 1940s to 1990s outside United States, the chances are that you grew up watching Tintin cartoons and reading Tintin comic books. I could not find the complete collection anywhere on the net except here. I have the complete collection in mini books (3 stories per book) and DVDs but I did not have the complete collection in paperback large formats. Basically I grew up with Tintin; actually I had the complete collection in hardcover and in Persian (back in Imperial Iran before 1979). I was reading Tintin in the 1970s in Iran at the Shah’s era, but now I wanted the complete collection for my sweet little princess so I can turn her on to Tintin. I am so glad that I could locate the complete collection. Exodus Books is a wonderful company. I am truly impressed with their packaging, quick shipping and well handling. This is the first time that I have ordered books from Exodus and what a delightful experience. I basically order from Amazon but now I know that I have another option. I strongly recommend this collection to all. I also strongly recommend the Exodus Books to all.

I ordered this as a birthday gift for my husband, the books arrived yesterday and it's perfect, just as described. I have never orderd books from anyplace other than Amazon, and I have to say Exodus books did an excellent job packing and shipping the books.

The Tintin books provide that rare combination of high-quality illustrations with an engaging and intellectually satisfying storyline. One of my goals with books for my children was to find those which would be as appealing to me as they were to them, and the Tintin books meet that goal. They are humorous without being silly, and provide an enjoyable adventure experience for all ages. Even as adults my children still enjoy them!
