This test is designed to be very similar to most standardized achievement tests, especially those used in Oregon and Washington—like the California Achievement Test (CAT6) or Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS). Some people have complained that this test is shorter and slightly easier than the thing, but we fail to see how that's a problem. Most kids do just fine after using this practice test.
The test booklet is consumable at this grade, so you will need additional copies for later children.
Instructions for proper administration of this practice test, a list of learning objectives, hints for test-taking, and the answers can be found in the Action Plan (parent's guide).
